This little maiden is proving everything we hoped for when we bred Galium to our Studmaster Brunello. She looks just like him, from the head to her outstanding fleece. When we showed her under David Barboza at Alpacamania in 2008 she came in first. It was nice to hear him say the only reason she did not get a championship is that she was the youngest in her class and he wanted to see her develope. Just in!, Gold Rush took a 1st place at AWE under Wade Gease and a 2nd at the California Classic under Cathy Merkley. Gold Rush also took a 1st place in the fleece show at the 2011 California Classic. We've decided to step up and breed Gold Rush to the most dense non-white alpaca in the world. RR Gun's A 'Blazin' ARI #31332170. We are very excited to see this outcome of this pairing. So much that we will consider offers on Gold Rush, but if she delivers a male from this breeding we will retain 1/2 interest in the cria. Who could blame us......
