Haven is a very interesting dam. We believe her to be a producer of "mini" alpacas. Haven is a very square girl with a perfect bite and comes from a dam who always has great milk, easy birthing and does not drop in weight while nursing. We first bred her to MFI Peruvian Providence. We believed with her genetics of NWA, LTD Haldane as her herdsire and Pachacuti as her grandsire a pairing with Providence would produce a very dense, crimpy, cria with long staple length, thick bone and compact in size. That is exactly what we got. Habinero is super fine, dense, long in staple and very compact. Habinero weighs 94 lbs. and stands under 36 inches. Habinero went on to become a perfect companion for a granddaughter and a great PR animal with beautiful crimpy fine fleece. We then bred Haven to the award winning herdsire Accoyo America Hawkeye. She gave birth easily to El Dorado "BUCKIN" A. Again a stunning male with rocking fleece! And compact at 5 months old weighing 25 lbs. We believe he will mature and be smaller than his brother Habinero. If you are looking for a female that will give you small compact alpacas with amazing fleece traits Haven might be the one for you. We have brought her price down as we feel she will not produce normal size alpacas. But they are healthy and have amazing fiber. She might be the girl for you.
